Isaiah 59:1-2

3 But God loved us and shed his blood on the cross to atone for our sins.
Romans 5:8-9

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
4 The bible says we have peace with God if we believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again.

Prayer to God:

Are you a good person?

How many lies have you told in your life?
- What do we call someone who tells lies?
Have you ever stolen something, even if it is small?
Have you ever used God’s name as a curse word?
If God judged you by the 10 commandments on judgment day, (we only looked at 3 of them), will you be innocent or guilty?
If we are guilty on judgment day, will we go to heaven or hell?
Matthew 10:28
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28 KJV

Answer: Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

Many people know that, but they are not saved from hell because they don’t believe it, so they imply that God is a liar.
The 10 commandments are called the holy law, you and I broke the law, Jesus paid the penalty.
And all we have to do to be saved, according to the bible, is simply believe what Jesus did for us.
1 John 5:13
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13 KJV
The bible says that the moment we choose to believe in Jesus, all our sins are forgiven and we are reconciled with God, and given the free gift of eternal life, not because we are good, but because God is good and rich in mercy to those who turn to him.
Ephesians 2:4-5
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Ephesians 1:7
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:7 KJV

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
